Earlier today, City Hall raided the along Harry Thuku Road. It was dramatic since they blocked the entrance with a lorry. This is due to an alleged staggering 2 billion shillings debt, reflecting a non-payment period since 2009.

The officials also went to Karen and took over several properties belonging to the corporation in an attempt to recover the money owed to them.

However things got easy at around 12.30 PM when City Hall agreed to remove the lorry from the entrance. It happened after a negotiation with KBC management and reached a 5 million shillings agreement in form of a cheque.

"KBC failed to fulfil their part of the bargain as they stopped paying Sh5 million as we had agreed," City Hall Head of Budget Morris Okere said.
