South African artist Sho Madjozi has recently released a song that has sparked a very familiar tone amongst her East African fans.

Sho Madjozi, real name Maya Wegerif, released her song 'Dihawks' last week as part of her new Mixtape 'What A Life'.

The song Dihawks features a very notable Gengetone influence thanks to the Kenyan producer who worked on the song. The producer goes by the name Forever (Mike G) and he is based in Nairobi, Kenya.

On how he got to produce for Sho Madjozi, Kenyan producer Forever says that he sent a beat to the team and got a reply in July that Sho Madjozi would work on a song using the instrumental that he sent.

"I thank God so much for the blessings! Its amazing to get to work with Sho Madjozi and her whole team. Its great to hear what she did with a Genegtone beat."

Sho Madjozi is known for recently being signed by Epic Records in the US thanks to her constant delivery of amazing music.

When asked about future collaborations across borders, Forever says "I can't wait to hear what other great collaborations are in store for the continent of Africa. Would love to hear Kenyan artists try Amapiano and Ghanaian artists try Kizomba. There is so much we can learn from each other."
