Kenyans have once again proven to be very deceptive and cunning as another mzungu has been duped by a man he trusted.

A Venezuelan man by the name Simon Franco Ortega is being detained at a popular Nairobi hotel because he has been unable to settle his hotel bill amounting to Sh1 million.

Apparently, he got into a business deal with a Nairobi businessman who disappeared with his Sh10 million.

Ortega claims he reported the man at Parklands Police Station for obtaining money under false pretense but no action has been taken. The case was reported on June 8th.

On their part, the management of the hotel said they had been getting money from the man's family in Venezuela but they stopped after one month.

They also say that they have been providing Mr Ortega with meals and accommodation since his family stopped paying and insist that that they have to get their money.

He was asked to surrender his passport to the hotel and it will be given back after he settles the bill.
