Actress Yasmeen Said also known as Maria in the popular TV series Maria, has bagged an ambassadorial role. The soft-spoken actress who has amassed a huge following in the past one year after hitting the screens is the new brand ambassador of Indomie Kenya.

Maria was unveiled as the Indomie brand ambassador during a CSR exercise at Kibera Grounds on 18th September.

Her initiative with the food brand Indomie is aimed at empowering young and girls and needy families across the country. They donated foodstuffs to over 400 women from Kibra Slums.

The event was attended by Anne Okoth, the wife to Kibra MP Imran Okoth Indomie marketing manager Martin Mwangi, Kibra's finest artiste Stivo Simple Boy, and stand-up comedian Butita among others.

The actress shared a touching post after landing the mega-deal which read,

Am happy and grateful about today, my first CSR with @indomie_kenya. I started from Kibra and I appreciate the love and support I get from you every day. Today was amazing I went back to where it all started, we donated foodstuffs and sanitary towels to over 400 women and young girls in Kibra, it was all about sharing hope and encouraging the girls to believe in themselves that is why we dubbed the initiative "Jiamini". I would like to thank @indomie_kenya for being part of this and ensuring we touch girls lives in the slums.
