The proceedings were about the proposed bill that seeks to tightly control the content that media houses produce. If the bill is passed into law, a journalist is likely to be jailed up to three years or fined Ksh. 5 million if found guilty of publishing or distributing gory or offensive materials that are likely to cause fear or alarm to the public.
