Kenyan artist David Mathenge alias Nameless has every reason to be thankful after both his ageing parents recovered from Covid-19.

This is despite them having underlying conditions that would have escalated the ailment.

Mathenge Senior as he fondly calls his dad is also counting blessings as he turns 85.

Nameless's dad has had it rough this past few months as he also had to undergo two operations last year, something that left him hospitalized for days.

Taking to his social media to express his gratitude, the father of two shared,

Today is a special Day for the Mathengez Clan... My dad Turns 85 years... 

We have every reason to thank God because as you know my dad has been in recovery mode after two major operations last year. To add to that, about a month Ago Both My mum and Dad Got Covid 😳🤦🏾‍♂️..that was a scary time for the family because both my parents are vulnerable and have underlying conditions ...

But they both recovered fully last week with my mum having to be admitted for a few days in the hospital. My dad, thank God was asymptomatic. Can I get an Amen,🙏🏿🙏🏿... 

We Thank God for their Health today and every day we get to share with them! When you see us dancing with a smile on my face just know we have a lot to be thankful for during these difficult times🙏🏿.

Nameless added that collaborating with his wife in the song 'Te Amor' helped his mother get better.
