Former Sauti Sol personal assistant Said Hussein is vying for the hotly contested title of Mr Africa International which will be held in Lagos, Nigeria.
The event that will be held from December 3 to December 9 will see him battle 20 other contestants from other African countries.
The lad who is a familiar face in celebrity circles promises to bring the title home because he believes that he’s got the confidence, brains, discipline and stamina to beat out all the other hunks!
Said who wakes up at 3 am to meditate believes he could be an inspiration to the younger generation and hopes to encourage the youths to believe in themselves being a victim of body shaming.
”This year has been my lowest since I got a lot of negative comments about my body and my looks which got into my head at some point and almost made me lose confidence in myself,” Said Hussein.
However, the attractive model didn’t let the negativity get to him.
”As much as I got discouraged by so many people, I believed in myself and all that it took to prepare for this pageant.”
He promises to help the youths in Malindi to stop the addiction and encourage them to school and focus on their dreams instead of taking drugs . In addition, the lad hopes to win and help establish a school in Malindi for special children.
