Over the weekend, team Sauti Sol was in Kigali, Rwanda for the concert of the year. In town was famous musician, Stromae, who was performing in the country for the first time since becoming an internationally acclaimed artiste.

Originally from Brussels, Belgium, Stromae was born to a Flemish mother and a Rwandese dad, hence his concert - a clear way of reconnecting to his homeland. Stromae is known for his hit songs "Papaoutai" and "Alors on danse," which have gotten hundreds of millions of views on Youtube.

His dad was an architect and was killed in the Rwandan genocide which took place in 1994. Stromae's mum supported his musical talent since he was a kid, something which prepared him for his current stardom. He is currently signed to several music labels, one of them being Universal Music Group which is home to international stars like Taylor Swift, Ariana Grande, Kanye West, Maroon 5, Lorde, Ellie Goulding and others.

Sauti Sol said that it was the concert of their lives. Fans on social media showered Stromae with praise for he had delivered an electrifying performance. Among some of the fans that expressed gratitude include Miss Rwanda 2015 Kundrwa Doriane.
