Sanaipei Tande is one woman who blazed the trail for many young female artists in Kenya. One of the founding members of Sema after she won the 2004 East Africa Coca Cola Popstars Talent Search with two other members.
After that, she diversified her portfolio and apart from singing has also engaged in acting, being a karaoke host, a radio personality and an entertainer.
Enough about her history already. Sana is in the news today. And for what ignominious reason? That the 33-year-old singer was found sucking in her tummy while dancing! Ati nini?!
Disgraceful! How dishonourable! I kid! I Kid! Kenyans hate hypocrisy and fakeness when it comes to their entertainers (why don’t they demand the same from our greedy politicians? Go figure).
So there are snaps of the “Chaguo la Moyo” singer sucking in her tummy. The photos that have infuriated some Kenyans are below:
Why that would cause offence to a section of Kenyans is beyond me, but they went HAM on one the beauties of yesteryear who is clearly ageing as most women do.

And what is most interesting is that most of the commentators are women. What happened to the ladies supporting each other through thick (hehehe!) and thin? What happened to the body positivity movement?
