Sam West looks to be following in the footsteps of Propesa. The group had the audacity to bet with Sportpesa CEO Ronald Karauri who took in stride.

The bet was supposed to be about who would win the match between Hull City and Gor Mahia. If Propesa won the bet they would win the CEO’s Overfinch but were he to win he would win their Probox.

The match ended in a draw with Hull City prevailing on Gor Mahia during the penalty shoot-out. The Sportpesa CEO was a man of his word and went on to present the car to the comedy group or so we thought.

He has now clarified that the bet was not for the ownership of the car. In a series of tweets he wrote:

It seems other comedians also want to get in on the act. And Sam West has decided to test the waters himself to see if he can get such a bet with the Sportpesa CEO.

But his has a little twist. It will be bet that is based on hard cold cash. He tweeted:

Maybe his tweet is a publicity stunt. The comic has all along been promoting his Sam West Comedy show that will be taking place this Saturday at Panari. Maybe this will increase the turn out who knows.

Will the Sportpesa CEO take the bet? Only he knows. These celebrities are n’t the only ones who place wagers on themselves. The legendary basket-baller Michael Jordan was known to be a degenerate gambler.

According to Michael & Me: Our Gambling Addiction . . . My Cry For Help!, author Richard Esquinas claimed that he and Jordan faced each other in a golf match at Aviara Golf Course in San Diego County that resulted in MJ losing a grand total of 125 million shillings!

But it didn’t end there, over the course of their four-year relationship, Equinas took an additional millions of shillings from Jordan’s deep pockets.
