News just reaching us is that veteran journalist Waweru Mburu famed for the program Yaliyotendeka on Radio Citizen has passed away.

Reports indicate that he died on Wednesday evening at MP Shah hospital where he was receiving treatment after a long battle with gastric cancer.

His death has dealt a big blow to the media fraternity and the country at large as his show which was loved by many.

Condolence messages have already started streaming in with quite a number hailing him as a objective journalist and a role model to many.
