The recent attack that happened in Mogadishu on Saturday, killed more than 300 people and has left hundreds more seriously injured. There was a truck packed with several hundred kilograms of military-grade and homemade explosives.

Sadly, among those who died are two ladies who were in Mogadishu University, Maryam Abdullahi and Rukia Abubakar, who were working so hard to build and improve their society. Yassin Juma posted these photos saying:

"Dr.Maryam Abdullahi was to graduate today as a medical Doctor after 6 yrs studying Medicine.

Her father had flown in from abroad to attend her graduation.

But Maryam won't be attending her graduation today...and the father would instead be attending her funeral.

Her life and dreams shattered by a deadly explosion in the #MogadishuTruckBomb together with 300+ others"

"RUKIA ABUKAR is a graduate from the Mogadishu University.

Rukia was a strong willed woman. An activist who championed the rights of the Somali Bantu community and educating the community about their rights. My condolences to the entire Somali Bantu Community for the loss of your sister and a human rights advocate"

These are among the few important lives that were taken. May God comfort and give peace to the people who lost their loved ones.
