13 people lost their lives following a horrific accident today at 1.30 am involving a Nairobi bound bus Eldoret Express and a trailer.

The bus, which was from Kisumu heading to Nairobi collided with the trailer at Pala area near Awasi along the Kisumu -Nairobi Highway.

Police boss Dr Vincent Makhoha told the Star,

The 1am accident involved a trailer and an Eldoret Express bound bus. Police are investigating the cause of the accident.

He added that the number of fatalities might increase due to the impact of the accident. The driver of the trailer and the bus among the dead.

38 others were injured in the grisly 1:00am crash. Bodies have been taken to Kisumu Russia hospital. and casualties are receiving treatment at Jaramogi Odinga hospital.
