Kenya is a country that has the best politicians in the world. From their exceptional development records to their stellar public oratory skills they are a wonder to behold.

But at times even our perfect politicians are subject to slips of the tongue. This Sunday Kikuyu Mp Kimani Ichung'wa appears to have walked himself into a political storm after he made some controversial comments against ODM Leader Raila Odinga during a church service.

Another blogger, Polycarp Hinga was more blunt:

"Whatever they are being given at Karen must be very potent to make someone I considered a sober leader to stand in church and say 'Deputy President sio bibi ya Raila'."

Kimani might be trying to join the likes of Babu Owino and Mike Sonko for most controversial statements ever made.

Babu is already in the hall of fame with his diss calling the president a son of a dog. Sonko meanwhile retaliated by calling Babu a homosexual, garbage and a dog. Clearly, being called a dog is very offensive. Very!
