Ruth Matete's husband Pastor John Apewajoye was laid to rest today at the Lang'ata Cemetry. The man of God passed away on April 11 following a gas cylinder accident.

He left behind Matete pregnant with their first child.

During his burial today, Ruth paid a tear-jerking tribute, leaving mourners touched.

'AT AROUND 8:30PM THAT NIGHT I FELT A STRANGE COLDNESS IN MY BODY ALL OF A SUDDEN. I WAS AT MY UNCLE’S PLACE. THEY COVERED ME AND I LAY ON A SEAT FOR ABOUT 10 MINS. I THOUGHT I WAS EXHAUSTED FROM RUNNING UP AND DOWN NOW I KNOW YOU WERE SAYING GOODBYE. I WENT ON TO SLEEP AND THE FOLLOWING MORNING I RECEIVED A CALL FROM THE HOSPITAL AT AROUND 6AM THAT I WAS NEEDED THERE. I’Ll BE HONEST WITH YOU, I KNEW RIGHT THEN THAT YOU HAD GONE TO BE WITH THE LORD. I GOT TO THE HOSPITAL AND IT WAS CONFIRMED YOU WENT TO BE WITH THE LORD ON APRIL 11 AT 8:30 PM,' she recounted,

Well, Ruth revealed that her Nigerian husband had already chosen a name for their unborn child already.

'Sometimes I feel you knew your time had come because of how you had put things in order like naming the baby, we agreed to call him Joshua Toluwa Apewajoye if its a boy and JOANNA ToLUWA aPEWAJOYE if its a girl,' Ruth said.

She went ahead to reveal the gender of their child.

'It is a boy so he is Joshua. I'll tell Toluwa of how kind you were pastor beloved and what a true man of God you were. 2 Corinthians 5:8. Continue being with the Lord my darling husband,' she concluded.

Well, Toluwa, their unborn child's name is from a Nigerian tribe, the Yoruba and it means "Belonging to God".

The name Joshua, signifies "Yahweh is deliverance" or "salvation.

Joshua was a companion of Moses. He went up to Mount Sinai with Moses when he received the Ten Commandments from God, and later he was one of the twelve spies sent into Canaan. After Moses died Joshua succeeded him as leader of the Israelites and he led the conquest of Canaan.
