36-year-old Elizabeth Keziah was on Tuesday morning found dead. Her body was dumped at the Kakamega county General Hospital Teaching and Referral Hospital morgue.

Elizabeth had deep cut wounds on the back of her head and shoulders.

The mother of three, who was a salonist in Kakamega town, was last seen in public with her lover on Sunday, May 17 at around 6:30pm.

At 8:30 pm the same day, her lover, a police officer attached to Muranda post took her to Nabongo Dispensary in Shinyalu constituency.

'She was profusely bleeding from the back of her head and shoulders,' a staffer at the healthcare told K24.

Speaking to K24Digital, Keziah's mother Catherine Makungu said her daughter was in a violent relationship with the officer, whom he hooked up with after separating with the father of her children.

The police officer had warned my daughter that he would kill her if she dared reunite with her estranged husband. My daughter’s husband knew the police officer whom she had fallen in love with after their separation. The husband and the said-cop would often quarrel every time the officer would confront my son-in-law at his garage in Kakamega Town, where he works as a mechanic.
