The Kenyan football fraternity is mourning the passing on of veteran coach Henry Omino.

The immediate former Kisumu Allstars head coach succumbed to thyroid cancer on Friday, March 20, in Kisumu,

Other teams he coached include; Western Stima FC, Agro-and Kisumu Posta.

Henry Omino's death was first announced by the Football Kenyan Federation. A statement on their official Twitter page read,

Our heartfelt condolences go out to the family and friends of immediate former Kisumu All-Stars coach Henry Omino who passed on early Friday morning.

May his soul rest in peace, and may his family and friends find solace during these trying times.

His death comes at a difficult time when the world is fighting Covid-19 which has claimed more than 6,000 lives among them Rhumba maestro singer Aurlus Mabele.
