Sauti Sol have made it in their musical journey but do you know the struggles they went through financially?

Well, Sauti Sol decided to open up to their fans on their struggles from the days of paying Ksh30,000 for rent and they had to split the bill. Getting Ksh7,500 for each of them was a hustle to a point they were calling their friends for soft loans.

They lived together in a house in Buruburu and the struggle was very real. They laugh about it now but according to Chimano, they will never forget where they came from.

vile tulihamia hapa rent was 30k and this was such a huge step for us and still hatujasahau. we still check on each other niko tu zile za, weh!

This story came up when Sauti Sol was reminiscing about the past where they had a lady who owed them 51,000 which would have been their month's rent. Chimano liked the house they lived in because they had their own backyard and all but it would then hit Sauti Sol that they are actually struggling to make that money.

Life is a constant journey. Our past experiences have always helped us stay grounded no matter the level of success we attain. Never forget where you come from and don't let anything distract you from your goals. Lakini story ya rent maze, kama ujawahi kwama ebu comment hapa chini sai tukue friends..🤣. #Rewind

The best part of their story is they are now the biggest Kenyan group. They have created a fanbase around the world with tours from one continent to another with a very successful turn out from each. It has been rumored that for each event you could be required to pay them a total of about 1 million and you have seen how many events they have in a year.
