Retired president Daniel Toroitich Arap Moi is no more.
The second president passed away on Tuesday morning while receiving at the Nairobi Hospital. Moi was a widower after losing his wife Lena Moi on July 22, 2004, and never remarried.

She was a former teacher and ardent Christian who had been raised under strict African Inland Church (AIC) doctrines.
Mzee Moi was born in 1924 in Kabaraka village, Sacho division, Baringo county. He succeeded Kenya's founding president, Jomo Kenyatta, in 1978 and served for 24 years till 2002
