Mombasa Governor Ali Hassan Joho is mourning the loss of his friend Mr. Jean Pierre Tutin. Pierre was the Head of Cooperation and Cultural Affairs Department.

The Governorn has taken to social media to condole with family and friends of the deceased.

"It is with deep shock and sorrow that I have received the news of the sudden demise of my friend Mr. Jean Pierre TUTIN. Until his demise, Mr. TUTIN served as the Head of Cooperation and Cultural Affairs @FranceinKenya."

Joho says he and the late had laid projects concerning toursm.

"Together we had laid a project that aimed at revamping the Mombasa tourism sector through the conception of cultural products and scenography of this great city. We have lost a brilliant mind who had passion for preservation of our culture. May his soul Rest in Eternal Peace."
