Thursday 25th May, saw a dark day for family and friends of tycoon Ivan Ssemwanga who succumbed to death.

The Ugandan -South African based- businessman was in a marriage with Zari Hassan for 12 years until they separated. Zari would then move on to date bongo star Diamond Platnumz who is her current baby daddy.

In 2000, Ivan moved from Uganda to South Africa where he sold cars and after one year, he was pronounced one of the billionaires in that country. This was after he attracted the attention of many after he imported a BMW that was worth millions.

In 2002, Zari The Boss Lady moved in with Ivan with whom they were head over heels in love with each other. The two stayed together till 2013 where Zari called for separation.

In a past interview with a Tanzanian TV station, Zari said that after the separation, the two had to split their wealth saying that Ivan and she had looked for the wealth together. Ivan was the owner of Brooklyn college where he managed the school with Zari. He also owned hotels and several mansions in Uganda and South Africa.

Ivan died at 40 years and leaves behind 3 sons, Pinto, Raphael Junior and Pinto.
