Police are looking for a 45- year -old man who reportedly killed his mother and sister in Utithi location, Kibwezi sub-county in a gory January 3, 2021 incident.

Kibwezi Deputy County Commissioner (DCC) Abdi Muhamud said initial investigations revealed the man ambushed his sister, 35, in her house today at around 4am and stabbed her to death.

He also slit his mother's throat aged 73 who had responded to her daughter's distress call.

Mohamud said the man who is reportedly mentally challenged fled after the incident.

"The man was mentally challenged and police have launched a manhunt. We will get finer details once investigations are through," said the DCC.
