Last Monday, Facebook's CEO Mark Zuckerberg announced that the social media network is developing the "dislike" button, which will allow users to express their emotions without giving too much details. These topics include sensitive political or religious issues. This will also mean that you could be getting dislikes on your profile pictures and/or statuses. Some people are now scared of this new development.

"People have asked about the 'dislike' button for many years. Probably hundreds of people have asked about this, and today is a special day because today is the day that I actually get to say we are working on it, and are very close to shipping a test of it," he revealed.

“Having a dislike button in order to open up the forum for empathy is going to be a challenging communication message that Facebook will have to enforce,” said the Vice President of User Experience at Large at Facebook.

How do you feel about this new development? Are there any new features you'd love to see on social media networks? Courtesy of Tusker Lite Kenya, we want to propel this conversation on social media. Maybe, Facebook will notice it and put it into actualization!
