The world has made it almost impossible to be nice or play by the rules anymore. Tough economic times have forced wanainchi to look for alternative ways of making ends meet, and some of them are not only dangerous but illegal.

As my colleague Bazenga puts it, young men from the hood want to be seen with the fine Instagram models with tiny waists, they also want to cruise around with hoverboards and attend a Kanye West concert in Paris, but the money is just not enough. So many people; both employed and non employed in this country are getting into shoddy businesses just to live that lavish life.

Kisumu based Kenyan artiste Xpat Mkwanja has released a track that somehow gives an insight into the dirty illegal business that most Kenyans have resorted to and it's clearly working for them.

The rapper explains how someone turned into an overnight success as others continue working hard hoping to hit the jackpot.

Kwa mahustlers hapo inje, whether you're getting that money legally ama illegally, we have to hustle.  - Xpat Mkwanja
