Cardi B's star just keeps rising. From being a reality TV cast member in the drama-filled Love and Hip hop New York series to a highly-acclaimed rapper, the ‘Bodak Yellow’ hit maker has acquired more bragging rights after taking home the Grammy for the Best rap album category on Monday.

However, as they say, the more success you have, the more haters you will attract. Some people have not hidden why they think Cardi B did not deserve to win the award. The rapper shut down her Instagram account after trolls expressed their disapproval over her win. She, however, let the haters know that she worked hard to win before closing the account.

On Monday, the mother of one shared with her Instagram fans the hurdles she went through working on her album titled 'Invasion of Privacy'.

She wrote on her Instagram saying:

Slept in the studio on leather sofas for 3 months straight, migraines, in Atlanta in Miami away from my family. I have 4 songs that couldn’t make the album cause my nose was so stuffy bro I was huffy puffy …

She also revealed how depressed she was, because she had to juggle between being in studio and her pregnancy.

She said:

I was depressed cause  I was pregnant and I constantly kept reading Cardi you STUPID,YOU RUINED YOUR CAREER, WHY WOULD YOU HAVE A BABY AT THE BEGINNING OF YOUR CAREER.

Despite all the odds, Cardi's album topped most of the US charts and was number one on the billboard music chart. It also spent 21 weeks straight on the top ten billboard chart.

She added that:

I listen to my album and I cry because I know the hell I went through doing the album is always a bittersweet memory.

During her speech, Cardi was visibly emotional. She then went on to pay tribute to her seven-month-old daughter, her husband Offset and those who pushed her to complete the record during her pregnancy.

The hip-hop queen also took to her twitter and thanked those who were nominated in the same category as her.
