The past few days KTN's senior anchor Ben Kitili and his Amina Mude have been the topic of discussion on social media.

This is after the two tied the knot last Friday. Many congratulated the two for officializing their union but a section of Muslims were not happy and came out to criticize Kitili and Amina.

 Ben came out to lash out at critics, telling them off. In a stern message, he said;

TO ALL MY MUSLIM AND SOMALI BROTHERS AND SISTERS, ESPECIALLY MY SHEMEJIS FROM WAJIR; THANKS A LOT FOR YOUR KIND WORDS AND GREAT RECEPTION.

TO THOSE WHO ARE NOT SO WELCOMING, WE FORGIVE YOU..YOU HAVE A CONSTITUTIONAL RIGHT TO YOUR OPINION..HOWEVER, SHOULD ANY OF YOU CROSS THE LINE AGAINST THE LAW – LIKE I SAID, I’LL PROTECT MY FAMILY WITH MY ALL.

IN MARRIAGE AS IN LIFE, GOD IS MORE IMPORTANT THAN RELIGION..GOD BLESS YOU.

Well, activist Boniface Mwangi has come out to share his views on those fighting each other because of religions. He says that Christianity and Islam shouldn’t divide Africans since both the Bible and Quran are foreign books. Mwangi tweeted;

Love, unlike religion, is blind and sometimes foolish. Quran and the Bible are foreign books, that came and found our ancestors practicing intermarriages. Let no book stop you from loving the human being you love. Muslim, Christian, Animist, Atheist etc? Let your love conquer bigotry.
