Many questions have been raised after the body of a female high school teacher was found hanging inside a guest house in Kitui.

According to reports, the woman who was identified as Jackline Mwikya was a teacher at St Lukes Boys Secondary School in Yatta.
The 41-year-old had visited her husband earlier in the day and left without informing people where she was going. She was later found hanging inside a lodging at Kanyonyoo market.
The incident was confirmed by Lower Yatta OCPD Patrick Makokha who said Mwikya left behind a suicide note which had two telephone numbers written on it.
It was later discovered that she left the phone numbers to help officers with identification as both of the phone numbers belong to the woman's husband. Police have asked the man to record a statement with them.
