Queen Elizabeth's birthday has for the first time in 68 years been cancelled due to the coronavirus pandemic affecting the United Kingdom.

According to  CNN the queen who is turning 94 will be staying at home unlike her previous birthdays.

Phone and video calls with family members will however remain intact.

The queen is just not anyone, she is the head of state of the United Kingdom's armed forces.

That means that her birthday celebrations which are held in mid June gives her a chance to review her military parade.

To show you how big the celebrations are in 2019 more than 200 horses,400 musicians and 1400 officers took part in the celebrations.

The tradition which was started in 1748 dictates that the queen receives gun salutes during her birthday.

But that will not happen as the Queen felt it would be inappropriate to celebrate when her country was battling with the coronavirus pandemic.

UK has more than 114,000 cases of Covid-19 and atleast 15,564 deaths.

Such things only happen in developed countries,in Kenya it's every man for his own and God for us all.
