Majority leader and senator for Elgeyo Marakwet County Kipchumba Murkomen has come under fire over a congratulatory message to female athlete Faith Kipyegon.
In the celebratory post, Murkomen pointed out that Faith had done well considering she had just come from her maternity leave.
The statement left many wondering what the correlation of maternity leave and her performance were.
