Prophetess Monicah has talked about her struggles to make ends meet after she and her husband parted ways just an year plus into their marriage.

Monicah was forced into the marriage by circumstances she could  not control after she fell pregnant something that contributed to her failed union.

Speaking during an interview with DJ Macdee, she said,

'After parting ways with my husband, at the time, I became a hawker on Thika road.

At the time it was not a highway, the jam was always crazy and that is how we would make our kill.

I would sell anything ranging from handkerchiefs, airtime, umbrella's among other things.

After separating with my husband I was very 'bitter' as I felt that he did not love me as I had expected. mapenzi kama ile ya movies.

I hated marriage and I hated men as I felt my ex husband had ruined my life.

I took several years before I healed and understood that all men are not the same.'

Monicah however added that it's not always a good idea to hold onto things as they can make you blind to the beauty life has to offer.

'In a way that attitude helped me as I did not get desperate and end up with another man.

It's however not such a good attitude and one should not hold on to it.

After my marriage failed I was sinking into depression and I was psychologically tortured and knew marriages are bad. '
