An American actor, William DeMeritt is super irritated at western media for linking him to Kenyan award wining actress Lupita Nyong'o. This drama started when various media outlets linked the 12 Years A Slave actress to GQ Style’s Fashion Editor Mobolaji Dawodu for six months. According to Us Weekly, the 33-year-old meet Mobolaji were introduced "through mutual friends of the fashion world".

The worse part about the whole story is that some media outlets used  photos confusing his for Lupita's oga boyfriend.

William who is set to appear in the upcoming off-Broadway production of The Death of the Last Black Man in the Whole Entire World, became friends with Lupita while both were studying at Yale Drama School.

So, apparently, it’s not the first time he has been linked. There was a time he accompanied Lupita to a Knicks basketball game. After a photographer took a photo of them together he was branded "Lupita's new boyfriend". That was back in 2014.

Now again this photo was used and he was confused for Mobolaji.

William said,

“At least they’re not saying bad things, like, ‘Why is she with that guy?’ As my mother would say, there are worse things in the world than being accused of dating a lovely, charming famous actress.”

He added, "Not all brown people look alike—Google it.”
