Prison Break Season 5 Has Been Confirmed! Here's All You Need To Know!

Kenyan Prison Break fans should be a happy lot because the next season of the much-loved television series has been confirmed. The premiere is set for March 2016, with Wentworth Miller and Dominic Purcell (who are in CW's Legends of Tomorrow) are coming in as Michael Scotfield and Lincoln Burrows respectively.

They were the original lead characters in the series. The last episode was aired in 2009 having run from 2005.

It will be a 10-episode season that will be aired on Fox. You should start preparing for MAJOR drama. As an ardent prison break fan, I can't even express my excitement over the return. Fox is reviving the series - and other shows - as part of their big anniversary.

Fox CEO Gary Newman had this to say during a television tour in Beverly Hills this past August:

“I would describe it as a bit of a sequel. It picks up the characters several years after we left them in the last season of the show. The brothers will be back. Some of the iconic characters from that show will be back. I don’t think [executive producer] Paul [Scheuring] knows exactly where he’s going over the 10-episode arc, but it definitely will address some questions that were set up at the end of the series for a new audience," he revealed.
