Sister, Sister star Tia Mowry says she refuses to be ashamed of her ‘imperfect’ post-baby figure… two weeks after welcoming baby girl
Tia Mowry has already shared a picture of her post-baby figure as she claims she refuses to be ashamed of it.
The Sister Sister star said that although her body isn’t ‘perfect’ following the arrival of her daughter she isn’t in a hurry to get back in shape.
“I actually look like I’m 4 months pregnant and that is OKAY. I wanted to shine a light on how our society creates false expectations after a woman gives birth. Ladies, it’s okay that our bodies are not PERFECT after our babies are born. Give your self time. Go at your own pace. Don’t allow people to put a time limit on YOUR body.”
Adding, “You’ve just accomplished a miracle! #Love yourself, love your new body, embrace it. It you want to make changes than that’s your desire and no one else’s. Ps, #moms freaking rock! #fashion (sic)”
Meanwhile, Tia – who also has six-year-old Cree with her husband Cory Hardrict – previously confessed she was leaving it to her husband to choose a name for their daughter.
After Tia gave birth to her daughter she shared a photograph from her hospital bed with the child in her arms.
‘Feeling grateful and blessed as we welcome our little baby girl into the world!’ she wrote, adding the child was ‘born May 5th at 10:29 am at 6 pounds and 4 Oz 19.8 inches.’
She also said, ‘We are in heaven.’
Tia and her husband tied the knot in 2008 after getting engaged on Christmas Day in 2006.
The couple welcomed their first child in 2011 and announced they were expecting a second, a little girl, last year.
Tia recently revealed she and her husband had been trying for years to have a second child.
‘I didn’t let my infertility issues define me or define what my goals were and what I wanted out of life,’ she told People.
