A middle-aged Kenyan man brought a section of Naivasha town to a standstill yesterday night after he crashed his expensive guzzler into a Delamere shop along the busy Nakuru - Nairobi highway.

According to eye witnesses the man was allegedly drunk and rammed into the busy shop while he was trying to park outside and luckily no one was hurt but his car (the front part) was badly damaged and part of the building's wall.

This attracted many passers-bys and passengers who crowded the area just to see for themselves what had happened. Business in the area did not ground to a halt after this vehicular mishap, it went on as usual at the Delamere shop.

This comes barely six months after a matatu driver veered off the road and rammed into a bakery along Moi Avenue in Nairobi killing a guard and passerby.

Accidents have been rampant in the recent past with many losing their lives and loved ones in road accidents due to rogue drivers and the latest being the Sachangwan incident that left six dead and scores injured. The accident involved a Nairobi bound bus which was carrying primary school students from Western Kenya to Nairobi and a shuttle.
