• The mother of three has now addressed the flurry of attention she's received after her earlier comments.

Nominated Senator Karen Nyamu has recently been inundated with requests from young men after discussing her relationship preferences.

A few days ago, she responded to a question about whether she had ever considered dating a younger man, commonly referred to as a "Ben 10."

Her candid answer sparked a flurry of direct messages from men interested in dating her.

Nyamu stated, "He has to be younger, of course, but you can have a younger man who is hardworking and earning. I have an issue with people mistaking the father of my children to be a Ben 10 because he is not. Mimi ndio humtaka.”

The mother of three has shared some of these applications, humorously reacting to them. The volume of responses prompted her to laugh off the situation, remarking, "Kwani hamjui jokes?" in response to an applicant who wanted to send their 'CV' accompanied by laughing emojis.

In the meantime, Nyamu is trending again following her attendance at a forum at State House on August 27, where Raila Odinga’s bid for the African Union chairmanship was launched.

President William Ruto led the event, hosting East African Community (EAC) Chairman Salva Kiir Mayardit (President of South Sudan), President Samia Suluhu Hassan (Tanzania), and President Yoweri Museveni (Uganda). Nyamu was spotted in a video on Sauti TV's TikTok page, mingling with guests while holding a lollipop.
