Murkomen desires X space dialogue with Kenyans over criticism

• Over the weekend, while addressing an audience at the funeral of Josiah Sang in Kapkatet, Kericho County, Murkomen stressed the importance of the ongoing national conversation, stating that it must not stop.

A day, after President Ruto engaged with Kenyans on X.com (formerly Twitter), Transport CS Kipchumba Murkomen, expressed his desire to do the same.

The CS congratulated the Head of State for boldly holding a conversation and responding to questions from Kenyans online on Friday, July 5.

Over the weekend, while addressing an audience at the funeral of Josiah Sang in Kapkatet, Kericho County, Murkomen stressed the importance of the ongoing national conversation, stating that it must not stop.

He defended his performance in the ministry and suggested that an audit would help clear any issues regarding the state of affairs.

"I have said that every year, all ministers and their ministries should participate in a national discussion and present their report cards, showing what they have done for Kenya each year," he stated.

He argued that this would prevent propaganda. "And I have said without fear of contradiction, as the Minister of Roads and Transport, we have done a fantastic job over the last two years, and I'm ready to prove it."

Murkomen continued, "I have told people on X, Y, and Z, I am ready to account for every second. I get to my office at 6 in the morning and leave at 10 at night. I am ready to give an account of what this government has done in the last two years in my ministry.

"And it should be the tradition. In fact, we should thank the President because on Friday, he took the initiative to engage on X. I, Kipchumba Murkomen, am ready to do the same to inform the citizens of what we have accomplished."
