The Public Service Commission (PSC) has denied allegations that it hired former Royal Media Services journalist Jacque Maribe as the head of communication in the Ministry of Public Service.
"The Public Service Commission has not appointed former Royal Media journalist Jacque Maribe as Head of Communication in the Ministry of Public Service, Performance and Delivery Management, contrary to social media posts attributed to Cabinet Secretary Moses Kuria," the statement read part.
In a press release issued on Thursday, the commission clarified that it had no role in Maribe's appointment to the position.
"For the record, the said position will be filled through a competitive recruitment process should a vacancy arise," the statement reads, attributed to Commission chair Anthony Muchiri.
“Kuria is quoted to have said that 'it is true except that I am not the one who appointed her but the Public Service Commission,'” it adds.
This announcement comes a few days after the former TV presenter, made her debut at her new job as the Head of the Communication Department at the Public Service Performance and Delivery Management.
