President William Ruto and Azimio La Umoja Leader Raila Odinga led Kenyans in watching the Mashemeji Derby at Nyayo Stadium. 

Supporters also thronged Nyayo Stadium to watch the game between Gor Mahia and AFC Leopards.

In what signals a new dawn, they flew straight to Kasarani stadium to witness the Kipkeino Classic on Saturday afternoon.

The Mashemeji Derby is a high-stakes game which presents the victor with bragging rights.

The first-leg tie played in January at the same venue ended in a barren draw.

Ingwe who have shifted their focus on the Mozzart Bet Cup tournament, have not defeated their opponents in all competitions for the last seven years, a fate that Coach Patrick Aussems is hoping to bring to an end.
