Azimio La Umoja Chief Agent Saitabao Kanchory has revealed that talking to ODM's Raila Odinga is sometimes difficult.

During an interview with KTN, Kanchory said most of the time, Raila wants to talk more instead of listening to people around him.

"He has in most cases treated us as his children, he is always fathering us, he wants us to listen to him, more than he listened to us," he said.

Kanchory stated that Raila in most cases tried to do the same things while expecting different results.

"The most thing that pains most of us is the fact that we know he would have taken this country forward," he said.

He, however, said Raila is a great man and in his book, he has described August 9, 2022, presidential loss as a triple tragedy.

"In my view, Raila is the best President Kenya never had, he lost the election in the worst circumstances possible," he said.

The lawyer revealed that Raila's election command centre was dysfunctional. He noted that as much as funds were available, the centre lacked situational awareness, it was disunited and the national candidates did not take particular interest in activities.

Kanchory further revealed that both Raila and his presidential running mate Martha Karua were not personally interested in the progress of how things were run.

"You will be shocked to learn that not once did Raila or Karua personally join our deliberations either as National chief agents or to call and check on progress," he said.
