"I will retire in Kibra. On the day I will retire, I will come for you to give me a plot in Kibra. I will set up a house there.

You remember when there was the Mau saga, I said I was ready to go sell mandazis in Kibra. But the stones be kept away." Raila said.

He sympathised with residents and business people in Kibra who had lost their property following Monday's protest.

"To those business people in Kibra, I am very sorry for the losses you incurred. We will stand with you. We said we will give you materials to reconstruct the burnt areas," Raila said.

He urged his supporters to ensure the protests remain peaceful.
