The disputed 2022 Presidential election results has led to some heavy presence at the Milimani law courts where at least 9 people have filed petitions challenging the results.
Among them is Azimio la Umoja Presidential candidate Raila Odinga and his running mate Martha Karua who have filed a case a against IEBC, its chairperson Wafula Chebukati and seven others.
Here are quick facts to know about what's happening at the Supreme court with regards to the August 9 polls.
1. On Monday, the Supreme Court received nine petitions of which eight were against the IEBC.
2. The 7-judge bench has 14 days to hear and rule on the petition.
3. If Supreme Court upholds the declaration by the IEBC, William Ruto will be sworn in within seven days.
4. The petitions were submitted before 2 pm as required by the law.
5. The 7-judge bench is led by Chief Justice Martha Koome.

7. If the election is nullified, a fresh election will be held 60 days after judgement day.
