After the KIEMs kit failed to recognize George Wajackoyah at his polling place, the presidential candidate for the Roots party expressed his displeasure.

The presidential contender voiced his displeasure over the technical blunder in a press conference shortly after he was found to have cast a ballot in error.

"I am very disappointed, opinion polls have been saying I am leading with 2 percent, why is it that in my stronghold I have not voted?" he posed

"I am told that Raila Odinga has voted, (Waihiga) Mwaure, (DP William) Ruto have voted and Wajackoyah has not," he lamented.

He said the IEBC officials should have tested the workability of the Kiems kits ahead of their deployment.

"Why Kakamega County, Matungu Sub County, what are these people afraid of... If I don't vote, does it mean votes will be counted or do they want us to go to court? I am not happy at all," he said.

Wajackoya's wife Meller Luchiri said they will be patient as IEBC sorted the technical error.

" We will remain calm until the end," she said.

Edit-Wajackoyah has now voted.
