Voters at the polling station at James Gichuru Primary School are complaining that the lines are excessively lengthy because special groups are given preference.

They are arguing that the IEBC ought to think about designating particular locations or polling places for the elderly, expecting and nursing mothers, as well as people with disabilities, during future elections.

"It's not wrong to give them priority, it's just better to lead them to a designated area to avoid confusion and fatigue," said Joseph Otieno, a resident of Dandora Ward 2.

A number of voters at the polling center have been complaining of women posing as mothers in order to cut voting queues.

However, IEBC officials said they are checking closely to see if any woman comes to vote with a child who is not theirs or was already at the polling station with another woman.

"We are checking the child's clothes, shoes, or other garments to make sure they were not already here," said Deputy Presiding Officer at station 007.

He said they cannot mark children because they are not voters.
