In case you haven't heard, Mombasa governor Ali Hassan Joho is about to get divorced.

Joho had been married to his wife Madina Giovanni for 10 years before things took a turn for the worse.

Here are some weird facts about the divorce.

1. Joho and his wife only lived together for two years after marriage yet they have filed a divorce after 10 years.

Joho married Madina who is of Italian origin got married in 2011. They started living separately in 2013.

2. The governor moved out of his matrimonial home in 2013.

According to court documents, Joho left his matrimonial home to his wife and kids troubling an already shaky marriage.

3.  Madina lived in their matrimonial home until September 2020 when she started living alone.

She said they lived as husband and wife for only two years before they separated.

4. The couple will continue being to as a husband and wife despite 'separating' years ago.

They will retain those titles until they are officially divorced.

5. The couple went ahead to sire two kids despite their marriage being rocky from the start.
