Former Citizen TV anchor, Hussein Mohamed, was appointed the Head of Communications in Deputy President William Ruto's campaigns on Monday.
The journalist has now welcomed his appointment, saying he joined Ruto's team because he resonates with his economic model.
Hussein added that it is a pleasure for him to be part of the 'Hustler Nation' team.
"Asante Your Excellency! I share with the hustler story and so do a majority of Kenyans. Nothing gives me more pleasure than being part of this team that is driving a paradigm shift in our politics and ultimately, GOVERNANCE! From Top-down to BOTTOM-UP!" he responded to Ruto's announcement.
The renowned TV anchor's debut comes after years of being away from the media scene. In 2019, Hussein Mohamed quit his job as a prime-time news anchor on Citizen TV.
He left the screens to pursue his private communications consultancy job.
