The senator is currently out on a cash bail of Ksh 500,000 or a bond of Sh1 million by a Nanyuki Law court.

Nanyuki Resident Magistrate, Vincent Masivo, barred the legislator from visiting and staying in Laikipia County for the next five days and was directed to report to the Sub-county Criminal Investigation Office every two days and further warned against interfering with witnesses.

The Prosecution led by Jackson Mutende had requested five days to establish the degree of injuries sustained by Joy Makena, who is reported to have been shot, noting that the P3 form had not been filled by a doctor.
