Residents of Kilifi County are not pleased with COTU Secretary General Francis Atwoli owning a home along the beachfront.

According to the residents, authorities have been denying them access to the public beach since Francis Atwoli moved into the area.

On Monday, Francis Atwoli shared that he hosted Nairobi Deputy Governor Anne Kananu and David Murathe at his Bofa home on Sunday.

This did not please residents, who stoped enjoying the beautiful beach since Atwoli moved to the area.

"Your bofa home has become a nuisance to the people of kilifi, we can't access kwa ngala beach like before APs chasing residents, life saver signs and all manner of restrictions. Tuachie bahari tujivinjari buana," a resident told Atwoli.

Another resident wrote;

"Afadhali ukasema kaka. Haya maudhi na maonevu yafaa kuisha. Tulikua twaishi kwa amani kabla aje."

However, Atwoli told off the residents, saying he is not the reason they are not going to the beach.

"As I have told you before, the beach has not been closed for the locals. The signpost was planted by Kilifi County after realizing that lives were being lost in the ocean without a rescue team around for safety purposes," Atwoli responded.

Here is a warning at the beachfront of Atwoli's home.
