The leader further discredited governor Anne Waiguru for describing her (Wangui’s) husband as ugly.
“You purport to be married by a handsome, learned and rich husband yet you keep shying away from moving around with him as I do with mine. I am very proud of Ngirici since being handsome, beautiful or ugly does not put food on the table," she said.
The Ngirici’s and the governor it has now emerged are embroiled in a bitter political rivalry ahead of the general elections.
Wangui is on a mission to wrestle the coveted seat from Waiguru who is a first-time governor using the muscular and financial muscle of her wealthy husband.
Others who have declared their intent for the same seat are former area governor Joseph Ndathi , Deputy Governor Peter Ndambiri , Narc- Kenya leader Martha Karua , former Mwea MP Peter Gitau while Njeru Githae though has not confirmed personally declared is said to be in the race.
