Remember the sweet high school days, when Soda and bread was the reward to anyone who donates blood?
This gift would see those not eligible for blood donation join the line, only to collapse after giving out a few pints of blood.
Well, these memories have been brought back by one Dagorretti North MP Simba Arati.
During a rally at Kisii, Simba Arati promised to give sodas to residents who register as voters.
"From next week, as long as you register as a new voter or you have a voter's card you will be going there, there will be a computer, if your name is found, you are given a soda as you go," Simba Arati says amid cheers from the crowd.
He announced that the sodas will be issued at an office in the location.
This promise left the electorates excited, cheering at the MP for cooling their thirsty throats on a sunny day.
But do Kenyans have to be promised goodies in order to perform their democratic rights?
