Machakos Governor Alfred Mutua has issued a statement regarding a letter making rounds on social media allegedly jotted by him to his ex-wife Lilian Ng'ang'a.

Well, Machakos Governor  Alfred Mutua announced he had separated with his wife few months ago.

This comes a few months after Mutua said that their separation was peaceful.

The letter read in part;

"...she didn't want the world. Didn't want the fame. Didn't care for the money. Not like I did. And in my oblivion, I would wake up at 3:00 am. Sleep at 11:00 pm. To get her all the good things I thought she needed. But instead, I was taking away everything she needed."

Responding to the allegations, Mutua asked his fans and followers to only believe what they read on his official verified social media platforms.

"Anything - write up, photos etc, that are written by me are posted in my verified Twitter, Facebook and Instagram accounts. Any other write-ups in blogs, WhatsApp groups etc, bearing my name as the author are FAKE. Please treat them as such," he wrote.
